29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At a jobsite located at 1219 E. Division Street, Springfield, Missouri: employees were exposed to serious fall hazards, in that the unprotected sides and edges of the elevated work area was not provided with guardrails or any other means of fall protection. The employees were exposed to a fall distance of approximately 16 feet to the asphalt and concrete surfaces below. Reliable Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(2)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 937128, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on (10/23/2013), with respect to a workplace located at 2650 West Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri.
