Standard changed to 29 CFR 1910.119(j)(4)(ii): The inspection and testing procedures did not follow recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices. On or about December 6, 2017, employees working in the facility were exposed to ammonia when a leak in the system occurred on a check valve at Control Station 83 on export cooler evaporator and the employer had not ensured the check valve and flange were inspected to Torque specifications to ensure they complied with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices for evaporators and piping systems (including piping components and valves).
