29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: A) Allen County Recyclers, LLC, located at 700 East Wayne Street, Lima, OH 45804: On or about November 23, 2017, the employer did not ensure that one or more methods of machine guarding were provided to protect employees from moving parts such as, but not limited to, the rotating chuck of the Tree drill press (powered by the Fairbanks-Morse Induction Motor, Type QZA, No. A 156590) located in the fabrication building. Employees were exposed to struck-by, laceration, and amputation hazards.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: A) Allen County Recyclers, LLC, located at 700 East Wayne Street, Lima, OH 45804: On or about December 7, 2017, the employer did not ensure that adequate guarding was provided to protect employees from the rotating blade of the Craftsman table saw (powered by the Craftsman Capacitor Start A.C. Motor, Model 113.12173) located in the fabrication building. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards while operating the Craftsman stable saw.
