Trim Conveyor at Head Saw - On or about December 13, 2017 logs were piled up on the ground next to the conveyor that presented a tripping hazard for employees removing logs from the conveyor.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees, in that employees were exposed to: Delayed shut down of chain conveyors in the event of an emergency . The chain conveyors did not have emergency stops. a. Head Saw and Debarker - On or about December 14, 2017 the chain conveyors located at the head saw and debarker area did not have emergency stops for shutting down the conveyors during an emergency situation.
