29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The floor of each workroom was not maintained in a clean condition. a) On or about 12/19/2017, powder coating dust occupied the floor surface area of the powder coating area/room due to extensive dust accumulation. The depth of accumulation was measured to be between 1/4 inch and 1/16 inch deep. The dust had a positive Kst value of 21.66 bar*m/s resulting in a fire and/or flash flame/deflagration hazard in the powder coating area/room.

29 CFR 1910.107(l)(3): The applicable provisions of the Standard for Ovens and Furnaces, NFPA No. 86A-1969, were not met: a) On or about 12/19/2017, an oven used to cure powder coating was observed to have a safety sensor/switch bypassed with a pair of vice grips. This is in violation of 500-1(c) of NFPA 86A-1969. b) On or about 12/19/2017, An oven used to cure powder coating had been installed in-house. No drawings/plans for the oven were available and no approval had been sought before installation from an authority having jurisdiction as required in section 100-3 of NFPA 86A-1969.
