29 CFR 1910.184(c)(14): Employers must not use slings without affixed and legible identification markings:    (a)State Steel of South Dakota, Inc., at 901 East 54th Street North, Sioux Falls, SD 57104: On or about and at times prior to December 12, 2017, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from struck-by hazards associated with using unmarked slings to move and handle material within the warehouse which could exceed the rated capacity. This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards related to exceeding the rated capacity of unmarked slings.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color:  (a)State Steel of South Dakota, Inc., at 901 East 54th Street North, Sioux Falls, SD 57104: On or about and at times prior to December 12, 2017, the employer did not ensure that exit sign lighting was operational in that two marked exit signs within the warehouse were not illuminated. This condition exposed employees to hazards related to not identifying exits during an emergency.
