Respiratory protection was required in this area for protection against crystalline silica. (b) A medical evaluation was not provided to a worker performing grinding tasks at Grinding Booth #5 on the west side of the Cleaning Room. Respiratory protection was required in this area for protection against crystalline silica.

(a) On or about February 8, 2018, a worker performing molding tasks involving packing sand molds at the rotating table in the Foundry was not provided training covering proper respirator use, and the prohibition against conditions that could interfere with the seal between the respirator and the skin of the face (such as facial hair). Respiratory protection was required in this area for protection against crystalline silica. (b) On or about February 8, 2018, a worker performing grinding tasks at Grinding Booth #5 on the west side of the Cleaning Room was not provided training covering proper respirator use, and the prohibition against conditions that could interfere with the seal between the respirator and the skin of the face (such as facial hair). Respiratory protection was required in this area for protection against crystalline silica.
