29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment:       On or about December 20, 2017, in the Pump Room at 155 Hanley Industrial Court, Saint Louis, Missouri 63144, the employer did not assess the workplace hazards where employees were exposed to swimming pool maintenance chemicals, such as, but not limited to: Accu-Tab (Calcium Hypochlorite Tablets) - Corrosive; CELAPOOL (Diatomaceous Earth, Flux-Calcined) - Carcinogen; Hydrochloric Acid (HCI, Muriatic Acid) - Corrosive; Sodium Thiosulfate - Irritant; Shockwave - Flammable, Corrosive, Toxic; Dense Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) - Corrosive; Sodium Bicarbonate - Irritant; DPD Reagent #1 - Irritant /DPD Reagent #3 - Irritant / pH Indicator Solution (Phenol Red) - Irritant / Total Alkalinity Indicator - Irritant/ DPD Powder - Irritant/ FAS-DPD Titrating Reagent - Irritant; and DPD Reagent #2 - Corrosive and Sulfuric Acid .12N - Corrosive, to determine if personal protective was necessary.
