29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about December 20, 2017; Second floor area of new residential construction; employees were not wearing fall protection exposing them to a 10-14 foot fall to ground level while working off the top-plate and trusses on the residential home. b) On or about December 20, 2017; front area of new residential construction; employees were walking across an opening, 9-feet deep, that was not covered or railed. The Caetano's carpentry LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1121045, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 12, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 5240 41st Street NW Washington D.C.. No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
