29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a): Workshop- Automatic Chop Saw- Machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator from a rotating saw blade. Employees were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards due to a rotating circular saw blade that was not guarded, on or about December 21, 2017. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
