29 CFR 1910.255(b)(4): All press welding machine operations, where there was a possibility of the operator's fingers being under the point of operation, were not effectively guarded by use of a device such as an electronic eye safety circuit, two hand controls or protection similar to that prescribes for punch press operation: On or about December 27, 2017, employee was exposed to amputation hazards while operating the Sciaky Spot Welder, Type EPQ.2-30-100-18, Machine Number 10106, and the employer did not ensure the point operation was guarded.
