29 CFR 1910.138(b): Employers did not base the selection of the appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the task(s) to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified. This violation occurred on or about December 15, 2017, for areas such as, but not limited to, the butter line, the employer had not adequately identified and provided effective multi-size tight fitting gloves for employee protection while cleaning the butter filling and wrapping machine exposing employees to caught in hazards.
