29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (a) On or about January 5, 2018, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that employees required to wear tight-fitting half face respirators did not have any facial hair that could come in contact between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
