29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator were not annually fit tested: a) Paint Room; On or about January 10, 2018, and at times prior, the employer had not provided employees required to wear 3M full-face FF-103 and 3M 6001 respirators with organic vapor cartridges with fit testing prior to wearing the respirators. An employee using various paints and coatings to cover trailers was exposed to particulate not otherwise regulated (PNOR) respirable fraction at 0.18 mg/m3, which is an equivalent of .036 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 5 mg/m3. This exposure was determined from two samples totaling 163 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 317 minute period. An employee using various paints and coatings to cover trailers was exposed to barium sulfate respirable fraction at 0.18 mg/m3, which is an equivalent of 0.036 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 5 mg/m3. This exposure was determined from two samples totaling 163 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 317 minute period. An employee using various paints and coatings to cover trailers was exposed to copper fume at 0.0037 mg/m3, which is an equivalent of 0.037 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 0.1 mg/m3. This exposure was determined from two samples totaling 163 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 317 minute period. An employee using various paints and coatings to cover trailers was exposed to iron oxide fume at 0.23 mg/m3, which is an equivalent of 0.023 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 10 mg/m3. This exposure was determined from two samples totaling 163 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 317 minute period. An employee using various paints and coatings to cover trailers was exposed to ethyl acetate at 10 ppm, which is an equivalent of 0.026 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 400 ppm. This exposure was determined from four samples totaling 160 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 320 minute period.
