At the intersection of US Hwy 301 and County Road 525 in Sumterville Florida, employees were exposed to a caught in hazard, in that, during non-destructive testing of steel piping in a trench with type "C" soil which was 9 feet deep, 22 feet long and 9 feet wide, water was allowed to accumulate while an employee of a subcontractor was conducting non-destructive testing. As a controlling employer the Raw Construction competent person did not remove the employee of the subcontractor from the unsafe trench conditions, on or about 01/17/2018.
