OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire and/or explosion hazards: On or about January 17, 2018, in the water heater closet room on the first floor/zone 4B, the gas line of a natural gas water heater was being purged, resulting in natural gas being released within its explosive limit, creating an explosive atmosphere in the room where there were ignition sources including, but not limited to, exposed electrical wiring, a lighter, and static electricity.
