29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: Construction Site: On or about January 18, 2018, one employee was observed working on a steep roof (6:12) without utilizing the fall protection equipment he was wearing. Employee did not connect to a lifeline. This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard of more than 6-ft. to the ground below. C&S Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1110330, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on January 20, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 6901 Saratoga Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78414.

29 CFR 1926.503(c)(3): Inadequacies in an affected employee's knowledge or use of fall protection systems or equipment indicate that the employee has not retained the requisite understanding or skill. Construction Site: On or about January 18, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the employee retained the requisite understanding to recognize the hazards of falling. This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard of more than 6-feet to the ground below.
