Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about January 25, 2018, at the site located at 5405 Mercier Street, Lewis Center, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on a two story residential home while standing on the second story floor level at approximately 10 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard.
