29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section:   On or about January 25, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to an electrical hazard, while removing old electrical ballast boxes and replacing them with new ballast boxes that were energized inside an advertising sign without utilizing a lock out tag out procedure to deenergize electrical components.

The General Neon Advertising Company Inc. was previously cited for violation of this Occupational and Health Administration Standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.180(d)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection 1063285, Citation 1, Item 3 and was affirmed as a final order on December 1, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 698 Hondo Avenue, Devine, TX, 78016.
