29 CFR 1910.145(f)(5): Danger tags were not used where an immediate hazard presented a threat of death or serious injury to employees: On or about January 18, 2018 employees operated a "Powersplit" log splitter that had been previously marked with labels warning of operational dangers. These markings had become illegible, thus employees were not adequately warned of the operational hazards associated with the log splitting machine. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
