29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition: Plant: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions. The employees operate forklifts with defects such as non-working horns and brake pedals without slip resistance covers. On 01/30/2018 employees operated forklifts with defective horns and missing slip resistance pads on brake pedals. The forklifts were not removed from service until the defects were corrected.
