29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(ix): Lamps for general illumination were not protected from accidental contact or breakage by a suitable fixture or lamp holder with a guard: (a) A fixture of florescent lights (two bulbs) mounted directly above a "close out desk" located in an aisle-way behind the clerks service counter was not provided with a cover or other means to protect the bulbs from damage or breakage. (b) A fixture of florescent lights (three bulbs) mounted on the ceiling along a wall and above two wooden doors leading from an internal hallway to the customer self-service area was not provided with a cover or other means to protect the bulbs from damage or breakage. (c) Approximately 10 florescent light fixtures (32 bulbs) mounted on the ceiling directly adjacent and above the mail distribution PO Box cases were not provided with covers or other means to protect the bulbs from damage or breakage. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED

On or about January 30, 2018, the access leading from a work desk located behind the clerks service counter to building exit points was obstructed by multiple stacks of plastic mail tubs that limited the width to 17 inches.
