29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2): The employer did not provide employees with effective information on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area. Employees were not informed of the following: the requirements of this section; any operations in their work area where hazardous chemicals are present; and, the location and availability of the written hazard communication program, including the required list(s) of hazardous chemicals, and safety data sheets as required by this section. (a) An employee who was potentially exposed to hazardous chemicals (e.g., herbicides, insecticides, pool chemicals, etc.) in the event of a spill or leak from sealed containers, had not been provided with effective information as indicated above. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3): The employee training did not include the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i) through (h)(3)(iv): (a) An employee who was potentially exposed to hazardous chemicals (e.g., herbicides, insecticides, pool chemicals, etc.) in the event of a spill or leak from sealed containers, had not been provided with hazard communication training on the following: * Physical and health hazards of chemicals * The measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented, including appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment. * The details of the employer's hazard communication program, including an explanation of the labels received on shipped containers, the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how employees can obtain and use the appropriate hazard information. * As of 1/31/18, an employee had not been trained on the new chemical container label elements and the new format and types of information on each section of safety data sheets (SDSs) with respect to revisions to the standard in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED
