29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a)GranQuartz LP, Norcross, GA- On or about 01/25/18, and at times prior to, in the unloading/storage area, employees were transporting corrosive chemicals such as, but is not limited to, Ceramic Tile Sanitary Cleaning (containing phosphoric acid), Granite Cleaner and rust remover (containing hydrochloric acid), Revitalizer Cleaner & Protector, and EP 801 Part A & B. etc. An eye wash was not available to flush both eyes simultaneously in the event of an emergency. b) GranQuartz LP, Norcross, GA- On or about 01/25/18, and times prior to, in the shipping area, employees were working with corrosive chemicals such as, but is not limited to, EP 801 Part A & B, and the eye wash was blocked with product and not accessible in the event of an emergency. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
