OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a) Diesel truck shop, 501 Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01843 On or about February 2, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees raising a truck cab on a two-post automotive lift secured the cab to the lift via the manufacturers process for removing the cab. b) Diesel truck shop, 501 Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01843 On or about February 2, 2018, the employer did not ensure that documentation of inspection for two 18,000lb automotive lifts used to service diesel vehicles was maintained. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Diesel truck shop, 501 Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01843 On or about February 2, 2018, the employer did not provide suitable quick drenching facilities for employees exposed to corrosive chemicals, including, but not limited to CRC Brake Parts Cleaner and DOT 5.1 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid. CRC Brake Parts Cleaner contains tetrachloroethylene and DOT 5.1 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid contains glycol ethers, glycol ether borate ester, glycol derivatives, and alkylamine. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903. 19(d).

Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
