29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) King Soopers at 15051 E. 104th Avenue, Commerce City, CO 80022: On or before January 29, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the ceiling suspended track light system was used in accordance with listed instructions in that only fixture assemblies marked for use with the track lighting system are allowed. On January 29, 2018, an employee was attaching netting with small gauge wire to the track light system above the Floral Department which had exposed energized electrical contacts inside the track resulting in a short circuit condition between the Hot conductor and the grounded cover of the track. This condition exposed employees to electrical shock and thermal burns.

29 CFR 1910.333(a): Safety-related work practices were not employed to prevent electrical shock or other injuries resulting from either direct or indirect electrical contacts, when work was performed near or on equipment or circuits which were or could be energized: (a) King Soopers at 15051 E. 104th Avenue, Commerce City, CO 80022: On or before January 29, 2018, the employer did not ensure that each employee working in areas where there were potential hazards due to energized electrical contacts at approximately 120 Volts was provided with appropriate safe work practices to prevent shock or other injuries resulting from either direct or indirect electrical contact when work was performed near or on electrical contacts associated with the track light system in the Floral Department. On January 29, 2018, an employee was attaching netting with small gauge wire to the track light system above the Floral Department which had exposed energized electrical contacts inside the track resulting in a short circuit condition between the Hot conductor and the grounded cover of the track. This condition exposed employees to electrical shock and thermal burns.
