29 CFR 1926.1417(o)(3)(i): The weight of the load was not determined from a source recognized by the industry (such as the load's manufacturer), or by a calculation method recognized by the industry (such as calculating a steel beam from measured dimensions and a known per foot weight), or by other equally reliable means. a) On or about February 1, 2018; northeast corner of the site; the operator of a hydraulic crawler had not verified that the load capacity was within the safe limits by using the load chart provided by the manufacturer; prior to lifting the estimated 5000-8000 pound pipe. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
