29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 2/7/18 on the 2nd floor, at the east and west ends of the 2nd floor stairs of Building #7 located at 210 State Street, New Orleans, LA; the employer allowed employees to work performing wall framing and floor grouting near the edge of the floor (12") without any fall protection, exposing employees to a 12' fall to the lower level.
