29 CFR 1910.145(c)(2)(i): Caution signs were not used to warn against potential hazards or to caution against unsafe practices:  a)  Equipment Storage Room;  Caution Lead signs were not posted to alert employees of the presence of lead surface contamination on the gun locker.    b)  Gun Cleaning Area in Garage;  Caution Lead signs were not posted to alert employees of the presence of lead surface contamination on the gun cleaning tables.   This exposes employees to potential lead ingestion hazards.

29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead:  a)  Equipment Storage Room;  Surface lead contamination was detected on the top and front of the gun locker.  b)  Gun Cleaning Area in Garage;  Surface lead contamination was detected on two gun cleaning tables.    This exposes employees to potential lead ingestion hazards.  *Please note that surfaces (other than glass or metal) are porous and gritty scrubbing cleaners (examples are Soft Scrub, Comet or Ajax) are sometimes needed to fully decontaminate the area from surface lead contamination.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical:  a)  Gun Cleaning Area in Garage;  A secondary spray bottle of Windex was not labeled.  b)  Gun Cleaning Area in Garage:  A secondary spray bottle of SLIP 2000 275 Gun Cleaner/ Degreaser was not labeled.
