29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached) where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening is 6 feet or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening is less than 39 inches above the walking/working surface, was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. a) Jobsite: 2nd floor, north east corner, wall opening along Chestnut Street - An employee boarding up an unprotected wall opening was exposed to a fall hazard without the use of a fall protection system. The unprotected outside bottom edge of the wall opening measured 13 feet 3 inches above ground level, and the unprotected inside dimensions of he wall opening measured 7 foot 8 inches high (from the floor to the top of the wall opening) and 15 feet wide. Observed on or about 2/12/18.
