29 CFR 1910.25(b)(3): The employer did not ensure that the stairs had uniform riser heights and tread depths between the landings:  Employees inspecting livestock were exposed to trip and fall hazards in that the stairs going from the rear dock to the pen access had two risers of different heights, the first riser was 20 inches and the second riser was 14 inches.

29 CFR 1910.25(c)(1): The employer did not ensure that standard stairs were installed at angles between 30 to 50 degrees from the horizontal:  Employees inspecting livestock were exposed to trip and fall hazards in the stairs going from the rear dock to the pen access had a two risers and a single tread of approximately 9.5 inches from the ground to the landing 34 inches above the ground, making the angle approximately 55 degrees from the horizontal.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8):   The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work  shift to employees when they were in their work area(s)  Employees inspecting the acid washing of pigs were exposed to chemical irritation to the skin or eyes in that the required safety data sheets were not available in the workplace.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  Employees inspecting the acid washing of pigs were exposed to chemical irritation of the skin and eyes in that the required information and training had not been provided.
