29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting face pieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the face piece and the face or that interfered with valve function: Construction Reference 1926.103)(a): a) Fort Pickett, Admin Building: On or about 02/21/2018, an employee wore a 3M half-face tight fitting respirator with facial hairs that came between the sealing surface therefore employee was exposed to a possible respiratory irritation. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv): Employees had not been provided with GHS 2012 training including an explanation of the labels received on shipped containers and the workplace labeling system to be used by their employer; the safety data sheet, including the order of information, and how employees can obtain and use the appropriate hazard information: a) Fort Pickett, Admin Building: On or about 02/21/2018, an employee spayed PRO industrial waterborne acrylic paint and was not provided with the new GHS training regarding labeling, pictograms and safety data sheet. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
