Employees were using gas powered equipment to transport and smooth wet concrete and LP heaters to heat area to prevent the wet concrete from freezing. a. An employee engaged in concrete pouring activities on February 22, 2018 was exposed to carbon monoxide as an 8 hour time weighted average of 96.3ppm, approximately 1.8 times the permissible exposure limit of 50.0ppm; this limit was established to prevent adverse health effects. The exposure level was derived from carboxyhemoglobin back calculation. Employee exposure time was estimated to be 212 minutes, the remaining 268 minutes was calculated as zero (0) exposure time. b.An employee engaged in concrete pouring activities on February 22, 2018 was exposed to carbon monoxide as an 8 hour time weighted average of 75.9 ppm, approximately 1.2 times the permissible exposure limit of 50.0ppm; this limit was established to prevent adverse health effects. The exposure level was derived from carboxyhemoglobin back calculation. Employee exposure time was estimated to be 212 minutes, the remaining 268 minutes was calculated as zero (0) exposure time. c.
