The Sears Craftsmen 6" bench grinder was missing the right guard which covered the spindle end, nut and flange projection that would eliminate a struck by hazard.    B. The Baldor bench grinder was missing the right guard which covered the spindle end, nut and flange projection that would eliminate a struck by hazard.    Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirement of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

(a). The right and left side of Sears Craftsman Bench Grinder used to sharpen tool and reduce size of screws did not have work rest installed.  (b). The right side of Baldor Bench Grinder used to sharpen tool and reduce size of screws did not have a work rest installed.  Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch:  On or about February 28, 2018, employees in the Shop Area were operating the following unguarded equipment which could cause fractures, bruises, and contusions:  A. The Sears Craftsman bench grinder adjustable tongue guard measured approximately one inch away from the right abrasive wheel and half an inch from the left abrasive wheel.  B. The Baldor bench grinder adjustable tongue guard measured approximately one and a half inches away from the right side abrasive wheel.  Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirement of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
