29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) 141 Main Park Rd, Howard, PA - On or about March 8, 2018, employees engaged in roofing activities on a steep roof (slope more than 4 in 12), with unprotected sides and edges, approximately 12 plus ft. above the ground on the front side of the building and 20 plus feet on the backside building, and without being protected from falling by a guardrail system with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees appeared to be wearing safety harnesses but did not have any lifelines affixed to their D rings. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
