29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):    (a)  The employer did not perform a hazard assessment of the workplace to determine what hazards were present and what personal protective equipment would protect employees from those hazards in the print shop where employees were exposed to corrosive chemicals, such as but not limited to Procam NS5 Solution which contained acetic acid and sulfuric acid while operating and cleaning the printing machines.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
