29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Machines were not provided with one or more methods to protect the operator from hazards created by the point of operation, in the following instances: a) Main Production Area - The 15 foot Cincinnati Power Press Brake was not provided with one or more guarding methods to protect employees from exposure to hazardous machine energy where work is actually being performed on the material being processed. b) Main Production Area - The 10 foot Accupress Power Press Brake was not provided with one or more guarding methods to protect employees from exposure to hazardous machine energy. c) Main Production Area - The band saw used for cutting aluminum extrusions had approximately 7 inches of unguarded blade exposed during the cutting process.
