29 CFR 1910.218(j)(3): Conveyor power transmission equipment was not guarded in accordance with ANSI B20.1-1957, Safety Code for Conveyors, Cableways, and Related Equipment, which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6:    On or about March 20, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that the conveyor belt where the hot forged parts were being delivered to the press operator was effectively guarded to protect employees from ingoing nip points.  Employees were exposed to the fast moving conveyors ingoing nip points where the employees are within approximately 15 inches of the nip points when they are picking up the hot forged part.  Forging Presses include but not limited to:    a)  Employees are exposed to the ingoing nip points of the fast moving conveyor of the hot forge press machine; LINE 1, 1300 Ton National, Serial #21147.      b)  Employees are exposed to the ingoing nip points of the fast moving conveyor of the hot forge press machine; LINE 3, 1600 Ton National Forge Press, Serial #21536.    c)  Employees are exposed to the ingoing nip points of the fast moving conveyor of the hot forge press machine; LINE 4, 1600 Ton National, Serial #21537.    d)  Employees are exposed to the ingoing nip points of the fast moving conveyor of the hot forge press machine; LINE 7, 2500 Ton Erie, Serial #50225.
