29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: a) Mailroom; Surface lead contamination was found on the gun lockers. This exposes employees to potential lead ingestion hazards. *Please note that surfaces (other than glass or metal) are porous and gritty scrubbing cleaners (examples are Soft Scrub, Comet or Ajax) are sometimes needed to fully decontaminate the area from surface lead contamination. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1246140, citation number 1, item number 1and was affirmed as a final order on August 8, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at Friday Harbor, WA.
