29 CFR 1910.95(k)(3)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee was informed of the effects of noise on hearing: a) Workplace, 52 Green Pond Road, Rockaway, NJ The employee working on the plastic injection molding machine #3 and #4 was exposed to continuous noise levels at 71 % of the Permissible Exposure Limit (8 hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 90 dBA) which is 0.710 times the allowable exposure limit. The action level (AL) for employees who work 11.5 hours, is is 84.38 dBA. The equivalent sound level of the measured dose is 87.5 dBA. Sampling was performed for 371 minutes on 3/23/18, with the unsampled portion of time considered to represent zero for the exposure calculation. Violation occurred on or around 3-23-18
