Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

The employer addressed personal protective equipment, and the use of gloves, however, the employer did not specify which gloves were to be used for which chemicals.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed:    a) Ampule room, 50 Frontage Road, Andover, MA    On or about September 5, 2019, the employer did not ensure that sprocket wheels and a chain on an automated ampule sealing machine were enclosed or guarded. An employee attending the automated ampule sealing machine was exposed to amputation hazards due to an unguarded chain and two sprockets in the lower part of the machine.     There is no abatement documentation required for this item.
