29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On the south side of the construction site, employees engaged in roofing activities on a pitch roof of 6:12 without fall protection were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet to the lower level.
