29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Howard M Phifer Pennsauken Township Middle School, Pennsauken Township, NJ, 08109: Employees were exposed to fall hazards on the roof at the edge of the front wing, when employees worked approximately 14 feet from the ground without any means of fall protection, which was observed and occurred on or about 4/05/18. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
