29 CFR 1926.304(d): Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe: (a) New residential construction located on Lot D-102, Work bench on back side: On or about 04/06/2018, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards while using Makita Circular Saws, in that wood shims were used to keep the lower guards from retracting after the cuts were made through the siding materials. The lower guards remained in a fixed position and were not operable.

No inspection of the electrical equipment was performed.
