29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: (a) Colorado Word Works, Inc. at 7380 Lowell Blvd. Westminster, CO 80031: On or before 4/9/18 the employer did not develop or implement an energy control program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy was isolated from its energy source and rendered inoperative. Employees regularly use a Heidelberg Speedmaster printing press, Challenger Paper Cutter, Stahl folder and Muller-Martini saddle stitcher. This condition exposed employees to caught in, amputation and crushing hazards.
