No. 10A-1970: On or about April 10, 2018, at 1028-1030 & 1036 Canal, New Orleans, LA; in a construction area where employees welded material, operated portable saws, and cleaned with chemicals, the employer failed to maintain and inspect portable fire extinguishers.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about April 10, 2018, at 1028-1030 & 1036 Canal, New Orleans, LA; the employer failed to train employees on the hazardous chemicals such as Industrial Strength Bleach that was being used in the work area.
