General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft. South Terminal, Room C1051, adjacent to x-ray machine. The rotating shaft on the baggage conveyer did not have a guard protecting the rotating shaft. The rotating shaft protruded approximately 1/2 inch from the slotted retaining clamp. This condition exposed employees to a caught in hazard.
