29 CFR 1926.1101(d)(5): As supervisor of the entire project, the general contractor did not ascertain whether the asbestos contractor was in compliance with the asbestos standard, and did not require such contractor to come into compliance with this standard:    a) On or about April 11-12, 2018, G.A. Johnson and Son functioning as the General Contractor, during the renovation of the jobsite located at 1650 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, Illinois, failed to ascertain whether the subcontractor compliance by the subcontractor with this Standard in its removal of the Thermal System Insulation (TSI) from pipes on the project.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
