29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Sonic Restaurant, Canopy roof: On or about 04/12/2018, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of 12-feet to the lower paved surface, in that employees were not provided with a fall protection system while installing re-facing canopy trim.
