OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire, explosion, and deflagration hazards: a) On or about 4/3/2018, In the facility: Equipment such as, but not limited to cyclones, duct work, dust collectors and receiving containers associated with five Crucible Blaster Assemblies contained potentially explosive atmospheres during normal operation while handling combustible metals. The employer did not ensure that the equipment was equipped and maintained with means of protection to prevent explosions, fires, and deflagrations. Abatement documentation is required for this item.
